Why Mount Union?
I chose to attend because Mount had everything I wanted relating to academics, athletics, and getting involved on and off campus. A lot of schools advertise great programs and opportunities, but I've never seen a school deliver in the way that Mount Union does! Being away from home would be a lot harder if I did not have the most amazing support group to keep me happy and busy! I've made meaningful and closer connections with friends than I did at my previous institution.
Hands-On Opportunities
While I'm still early in my academic career, my favorite experience thus far are the hands-on opportunities given to me. I've been fortunate enough to volunteer at a Charitable Pharmacy, participate in practical skills clinics through the Pre-PA club, and these opportunities are seemingly endless. From applying in-class concepts in labs to stepping out into the real world, Mount Union has given me unique hands-on opportunities that are preparing me to go into PA school with confidence!
Ultimate Career Goal
After graduating from Mount Union, I plan to go to graduate school and obtain my Masters in Physical Assistant Studies. I've always had an aptitude for a health-related field, but at first, I wasn't sure of what career path I'd pursue. Though, the exercise science major is broad enough which has allowed me to learn more about different careers in the medical field. The faculty and Mount Union as a whole are setting me up for success!
