Why Mount Union?

I chose Mount Union’s PA program due to being close to home in the Northeast Ohio area. The program has an excellent reputation as well as strong PANCE pass rates. One of the most impactful aspects of Mount Union’s program is their emphasis on professionalism. I felt prepared to successfully interview and enter the workforce.

Current Life

now work as a critical care PA in the medical ICU at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. After PA school graduation, I completed the critical care fellowship through OhioHealth. My job consists of treating high acuity patients, managing ventilators, performing endotracheal intubations and placing central venous catheters and arterial lines. Most recently I have been managing the care of COVID-19 patients.

Advice to Future PAs

For those currently in PA school, hang in there! All the hard work is so worth it on the other side. I would encourage you to consider a PA residency or fellowship program. Although it is not necessary, it made the transition into practice much more manageable.
