Mount Union Presents 2018 Green Raider Awards

Mallory Glenn and Shehla Arif (Not picture: Anson Gross)ALLIANCE, Ohio – A ceremony was held Thursday, April 26 to present the 2018 Green Raider Awards to a group of recipients who enhance sustainability at the University of Mount Union.

Each year, Mount Union presents awards to a faculty member, staff member and a student who showcase a strong awareness of living green through their dedication to promoting the principles of social, financial and environmental responsibility both to the University and the Alliance community.

This year’s recipients are Dr. Shehla Arif, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, Anson Gross, Physical Plant grounds and fleet supervisor, and junior Mallory Glenn ’19, a writing major of Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Mount Union Physical Plant planted a tree in honor of the recipients and each recipient was presented with a certificate and token of appreciation for their efforts and dedication to promoting sustainability on campus.
