Mount Union, United Way Partnering for Financial Literacy Workshops in April

ALLIANCE, Ohio — Senior students in the University of Mount Union’s finance program are partnering with the United Way of Greater Stark County’s Financial Prosperity Center and Rodman Public Library to offer a four-part series of workshops for the community each Wednesday in April at 6 p.m. 

Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of financial literacy that many Americans struggle with, per Forbes. All workshops will be held at the Rodman Public Library in Alliance and are free and open to the public.

  • Wednesday, April 3 — Budgeting
  • Wednesday, April 10 — Building and Maintaining Credit
  • Wednesday, April 17 — Funding Higher Education
  • Wednesday, April 24 — Investing for Retirement and Program Wrap-Up 

Each workshop will have a drawing for a $50 gift card provided by the United Way. Those who attend all four workshops will be entered into the final drawing for a $400 gift card.
