ALLIANCE, Ohio – Adding to his successful collection of published works, Dr. Jim Perone, professor and chair of the Department of Music at the University of Mount Union, recently published “Listen to New Wave Rock!” as part of his Exploring a Musical Genre series.

The book, published through Greenwood Publishing Group, follows “Listen to Pop!” in the series and is one of a host of books written by Perone. He has also written more than a dozen books on music icons such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, David Bowie, Carole King and many others, and is currently the vice president of The College Music Society.
