Mount Union Office of Alumni Engagement to Host Summer of Fun Events

This year’s annual volleyball tournament, set for Sept. 29 at the University of Mount Union fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon, is taking a different twist. -
A new 100-foot-long bridge is boosting the hiking experience at the University of Mount Union’s nature center. -
A group of community volunteers spent some time Saturday helping to transform Butler-Rodman Park. The group, which featured people from University of Mount Union, Lowe’s, Friends of the Park and staff at the Regula Center at Mount Union taking part in an activity called Super Service Saturday, painted, planted and performed other tasks that gave areas of the park a refreshed look.
The University of Mount Union’s Office of Alumni Engagement will host various events throughout the summer as part of its Summer of Fun event series.
Alumni, parents and members of the Mount Union community are invited to attend events in the Alliance and neighboring areas throughout the summer months.
The series kicks off on Friday, June 15 with a free behind-the-scenes tour of Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Space is limited and reservations can be made through the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni.mountunion.edu/heinz.
Other events featured in the Summer of Fun series include playing in or attending the annual Alumni Golf Outing at Tannenhauf, Raiders Night Out at TownHall in Ohio City, discounted Akron RubberDucks and Cedar Point tickets and more.
