Career Goals
My career goal is to pursue event planning after college. Mount Union is helping me gain knowledge in multiple aspects of business that are preparing me for my career; I had the opportunity to take an event planning course that offered me hands-on experience, planning an actual event. My classmates and I participated in the four stages of event planning and contributed to a Mount Union Football Watch Party. This course allowed me to build and practice many skills that will help me in the event planning world.
Choosing Mount Union
I knew about Mount Union because both of my parents are alumni. Not only did I want to continue the family legacy, but I also chose to attend Mount Union because of how warm and welcoming the campus and community is. Dr. Kachilla has had the biggest impact on my UMU experience so far. Not only have I had him as a professor, but he is my advisor. Dr. Kachilla has truly been a role model to me. He gets to know every one of his students on a personal level and will go above and beyond to help them in any way. It’s more than a job to him.
