Why Mount Union?

I chose Mount Union because of the beautiful campus and the small school atmosphere that it offered. When I toured, everyone was very welcoming and inviting, which made me more interested in the University. Overall, it was an awesome school to be a part of. Being on the baseball team for a season was my favorite memory. I wish I could do it again! I still see and talk to roommates, friends, and coaches.

Life as an Aborist

I collaborate with various City Departments to complete sustainability initiatives like Tree City USA, City Tree Commission, county sustainability reporting, recycling & composting programs, organic products, reducing waste, and improving residents’ quality of life. My job also includes promoting an understanding and awareness of sustainability issues by coordinating informational training and presentations, and promoting conservation, waste minimization, recycling, sustainable building and landscape design, alternative transportation, procurement of green products, etc. A goal of mine in my career is to plant over 500 trees in the city of Independence.
