ALLIANCE, Ohio- To commemorate the end of Martin Luther King Jr. Week, the University of Mount Union held its annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Keynote Address and Award Ceremony with live streaming for family and friends. The keynote was presented by Canton city police officer, Lamar Sharpe followed by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. award ceremony to members of the Mount Union community that best embody King’s values and principles.

Hrovat ’22 Honored as Newman Civic Fellow

Campus Compact, a Boston-based non-profit organization working to advance the public purposes of higher education, has announced the 290 students who will make up the organization’s 2021-2022 cohort of Newman Civic Fellows. University of Mount Union student Allison Hrovat ‘22, a psychology and sociology double major of North Royalton, Ohio, will join 212 students from 39 states, Washington, D.C. and Mexico to form the 2021 cohort.
