New Student and Family Programming

Congratulations on your decision to continue your educational career at the University of Mount Union! The Office of New Student Programs is here to help you transition to college by ensuring that you are equipped to navigate campus life. Our intentional programs will enable you to learn about the University and connect with faculty, staff, and fellow students. We cannot wait to welcome you to the family!

New undergraduate students enrolling at the University of Mount Union for the Fall 2022 semester are required to participate in a two-part orientation program, Summer Preview and Fall Orientation. We’re excited to invite new students and families back to campus for these traditional in-person programs, barring evolving circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students enrolling in August 2022

  1. First-Time Student

    What is Preview?

Preview is a required two-day overnight program that provides new students and families the opportunity to “preview” all that Mount Union has to offer. At Preview, new students will be introduced to campus culture by becoming aware of the resources, support, and experiences available. Moreover, they will schedule for classes and meet an array of faculty, staff, and upperclass student mentors.

    Preview 2022 Sessions

All new students who plan to enroll for the Fall 2022 semester must attend one of the following overnight Preview sessions and participate in its entirety. New students’ families and guests are invited to participate and stay overnight for the full experience as well. Day 1 of the program will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at approximately 3 p.m. the following day. The Preview sessions available are:

    • June 24-25
    • June 26-27
    • July 8-9
    • July 10-11

If you are unable to make any of the above Preview sessions due to being out-of-state or experiencing extenuating circumstances, please contact the Office of New Student Programs by emailing newstudent@mountunion.edu or calling us at (330) 823-8685.
