Inaugural Class Inducted into Exercise Science Honorary at Mount Union

ALLIANCE – In recognition of the accomplishments of its exercise science majors, the University of Mount Union’s Department of Exercise, Sport and Nutrition Sciences inducted 22 members into the first cohort of its chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu (KON).

KON is the national human science honorary society with more than 80 active chapters and 150,000 members worldwide. Its mission is to promote empowered leaders through excellence in scholarship, leadership, and research in the human sciences. The organization promotes scholarships, research, high standards of practice and ethical behavior, leadership development and professional responsibility for the public good.

Mount Union’s chapter, Omicron Gamma Lambda, requires that students achieve an overall grade-point average of 3.3 and earn a minimum of 45 credit hours for membership. New members receive a pin and certificate upon induction.
