ALLIANCE, Ohio — The University of Mount Union’s competitive esports team will hold its first competition in program history on Saturday, September 21 beginning at 9 a.m.

Mount Union will virtually host the team from Marietta at its brand-new Esports Center located on the corner of State St. and Union Ave. on Mount Union’s campus. 

The day will begin with games of Rocket League at 9 a.m., followed by League of Legends at 10 a.m. and Overwatch at 11 a.m. 

The event is free and open to the public and will also be live-streamed on Twitch for those unable to attend. The competition will also be held alongside the 55^th annual Artfest, Family Day and Mount Union’s first home football game of the season against Baldwin Wallace.
