ALLIANCE, Ohio — With the postponement of fall athletics stemming from COVID-19, the University of Mount Union’s Offices of Athletics and Advancement will host a Virtual Stadium Sell out the week of November 16 to support its athletic teams.
The event will be an attempt to sell out the capacity of the historic Mount Union stadium, which seats approximately 6,000 fans. Each increment of $10 given will count as one ticket sold, and donors can choose to support their favorite athletic teams or the varsity letter-winners association, M Club.
The athletic team that fills the most seats by Saturday, November 21 at 1:30 p.m. will earn an additional $1,000 from Interim Athletic Director Mike Parnell and his wife, Karen. Mount Union President Tom Botzman and his wife, Vanessa, also pledged an extra $1,000 to the athletic team of choice of the Virtual Team Captain, a previously signed-up event ambassador, who inspires the most fans.
