Summer Camps Set to Return to the University of Mount Union

May 12, 2021

ALLIANCE, Ohio –  The University of Mount Union will host a variety of camps and conferences to external groups during the Summer 2021 term. Mount Union’s Office of Camps and Conferences is set to host a variety of groups including day camps, residential camps, athletic camps and professional conferences throughout the year.

Registration is currently open for many of our academic and athletic camps including the Experience Engineering Summer Program (EESP) and STEMcoding Summer Camp.

Experience Engineering Summer Program
EESP is a week-long residential camp hosted for rising high school sophomores through recent high school graduates preparing to enroll as a freshman in college. The program begins on Sunday, June 20 and concludes on Saturday, June 26.

EESP allows students the opportunity to learn more about the engineering profession through engaging hands-on engineering projects. This is a unique opportunity to get direct experience in five different engineering disciplines, learn about entrepreneurship in engineering, ethics, sustainability and gain valuable experience in communication and presentation skills all while earning college credits.

STEMcoding Summer Camp
The STEMcoding Summer Camp is a week-long day camp hosted for middle and high school girls running from Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23.

Students will have the opportunity to learn from and work with the Mount Union faculty and students. Through a mix of computer programming and hands-on science and engineering challenges and activities, students will gain valuable skills and technical experience, learn about majoring in STEM fields in college, get information about high-demand career paths in STEM fields and gain confidence.

For more information on registration for summer camps and conferences, contact Jenny Huth, director of camps and conferences, at (330) 829-2877.
