Mechanical Engineering major

Over winter break 2025, I went to Toronto Canada and shadowed at MXL Engineering to complete my global engineering course.

Education

B.A., Mechanical Engineering, University of Mount Union

Hometown

Hudson, OH

Why Mount Union?

I learned about Mount Union because of baseball. I chose to attend due to the ability to play baseball while enrolled in the four-year engineering program. Ultimately, I decided to stay because of the many people I met and befriended. My teammates on the baseball team, and Miss Amy [Laubscher] are what make me feel at home on campus. Miss Amy has been there to answer any questions I have.

Experiential Learning Opportunities

The engineering program has lots of hands-on opportunities; there is a required global engineering class and trip where you gain experience in the real world. Over winter break 2025, I went to Toronto Canada and shadowed at MXL Engineering.  This was a solo trip due to baseball season starting, but my project was remapping and calculating the ventilation needed for a building using LOOPCAD which was the chosen software program by the firm.
