Mount Union Engineering Hosts Successful Networking Event Connecting Students with Employers
March 13, 2026ALLIANCE — The Brenton School of Engineering at the University of Mount Union recently held its Engineering Networking Event in the campus’s Innovation Hub to bolster internship and employment opportunities for its students.
The event brought 11 regional companies and two graduate schools to campus, allowing the more than 30 students in attendance to ask thoughtful questions and gain valuable insight into the next step in their engineering careers. Five Mount Union alumni attended the event as representatives for their companies, illustrating the impact of the Purple Raider alumni network.
“My overall experience was fantastic. I was able to learn about numerous companies and become educated on their engineering opportunities,” said Emma Pittner ’28, computer engineering major. “Since the event, I have used the information given to me to research some of the companies I spoke with and looked into their internship opportunities. Overall, I am very glad I went to the event, as it has opened up numerous pathways to aid in my future.”
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue to build strong relationships with industry and graduate schools for the Brenton School of Engineering students’ success,” said Dr. Chad Korach, associate professor and director of the Brenton School of Engineering. “These relationships provide our students with experiential learning and incredible opportunities after graduation, which position Mount Union alumni to be leaders in the engineering field.”
