Mount Union Master’s in Occupational Therapy Granted Accreditation Candidacy, First Cohort Enrolling Fall 2025
April 29, 2025ALLIANCE – The University of Mount Union’s Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) Program has been granted candidacy status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
This status allows Mount Union to interview and enroll students in its MSOT program, which will begin its first cohort in August 2025. With the Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting a 12% growth in occupational therapy jobs by 2032, more engaged professionals are needed to fill those roles.
“Mount Union’s MSOT program combines the proven excellence of the University’s allied health offerings with a hybrid learning model demanded by today’s students,” said Carey Minard, associate professor and program director of Mount Union’s MSOT program. “We are very excited to offer this unique program to those interested in a career in occupational therapy!”
