Mount Union PA Students Help Raise $5,000 for Health Care Services to Underserved Populations

June 28, 2021

ALLIANCE, Ohio — Students in the University of Mount Union’s Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Program recently participated in the PA Olympics (PAO) and helped raise $5,000 for Reach Out, an organization whose mission is to provide health care services to those in need in the Dayton area.

The PAO is the Ohio Association of Physician Assistant's annual student fundraiser. Its mission is to foster unity and connections between Ohio PA programs and PA-Cs through participation in fundraising and engagement with a medical charity. At the end of the annual fundraiser, the Ohio's PA programs celebrate their fundraising efforts by coming together for a track and field style event and friendly competition, done virtually for the 2021 event.

“Each program created a game that could be played at home, and we all met over Zoom to compete,” said Allyson Brahler M’22. “The event was a lot of fun, and it was so nice to see all the PA programs in Ohio come together to raise funds for such a great cause.”
