Stark County Prosecutor Stone to Deliver Mount Union Black History Month Keynote Thursday

ALLIANCE, Ohio — The University of Mount Union’s annual Black History Month Keynote Address will be delivered by recently-elected Stark County Prosecuting Attorney Kyle Stone on Thursday, February 18 at 7 p.m.

Stone, elected in November, is Stark County’s first-ever Black elected prosecutor. The Canton native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in law and liberal arts from The University of Findlay, a Master of Ministry degree from Temple Baptist Seminary, and a Master of Public Administration degree and Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron.

An ordained minister, Stone is also a member of the Ohio Bar Association, Akron-Canton Barristers, Stark County Bar Association and the Norman S. Minor Association.

Stone will speak to roughly 50 members of the campus community in-person, while the event will be available to be livestreamed to the general public. RSVP for the livestream of the event and get more information at mountunion.edu/bhm-keynote.
