UMU Experts Lunch to Discuss Voter Registration October 23

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The second UMU Experts: Lunch Series event will feature Dr. Lori Kumler, associate professor of political science and international studies, who will present on the topic of voter registration on Tuesday, October 23 at noon in the Newbold Room of Mount Union’s Hoover-Price Campus Center.

Kumler’s presentation is titled, “From National to Local Elections: Who Votes?” Kumler has expertise with youth civic engagement and teaching civic responsibility. She has been involved with the Civic Corners project at Mount Union, which are stations on the University’s campus that encourage students to register to vote and provides election information.

Kumler has been a member of the Mount Union faculty since 2012 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in public policy and educational studies from Brown University, her M.A.T. from Tufts University, and her Master of Science and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
