Continuing a Legacy

I heard about Mount from friends and family members who had joined the Purple Raider Family. From their past experiences at the university, I learned that Mount was an “And” school. In other words, at Mount students have the opportunity to play sports and join a number of extracurriculars. The willingness of Mount Union staff members to help you juggle schoolwork, extracurriculars, and whatever else you would want to do was the main reason I chose to become a Raider.

Advice to Prospective Students

Tour. Tour. Tour. Tour. Don’t limit yourself from looking at certain colleges or universities because they aren’t the perfect fit you think you are looking for. Whether you are looking only at big schools or small schools, you will truly never know if you like a college or not unless you step foot on a campus.

A Path to Law School

When I graduated high school, I had decided that I wanted to attend law school. The question was, what major in my undergraduate would best prepare me for this goal. I ended up choosing history simply because I enjoyed the subject in high school and it seemed semi-related to law. However, going into my first semester at Mount I wasn’t quite sure if this was the right decision. Fortunately, my history professors whom had experience with students looking to attend law school were more than willing to spend their time outside of class to talk about my journey to law school. They assured me any major requiring writing would be perfect for law school and I am now committed to my history major.
