Welcome to the Department of Business at the University of Mount Union !

We are committed to creating a student-centered learning environment that meets the needs of an increasingly diverse student body. The Department of Business offers a breadth of knowledge and a robust academic curriculum delivered by our team of highly qualified faculty who are dedicated to excellence in teaching, service, and discovery. Our faculty bring to the classroom both academic credentials and practical industry experience. Through strong industry connections, which facilitate internships and experiential learning opportunities, we prepare our students to become qualified professionals.

Our undergraduate majors in accounting, economics, finance, human resources management, management, marketing, risk management and insurance, have internationally recognized accreditation from the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Additionally, the Department houses a nationally ranked, Commission on Sport Management (COSMA) accredited Sport Business program.  Minors offered include accounting, business administration, economics, and sport business. Our accreditations ensure that our curricula offerings maintain standards of academic distinction.

A recently approved online Master of Business Administration program will be added to the Department’s offering starting in 2021.

We extend an invitation to prospective students to explore our website and learn more about what makes our programs unique. You are also invited to visit our department, meet with our faculty and staff, and dialogue with our students either virtually or in person.

If you are a newly admitted student, we are pleased to welcome you to the University of Mount Union and the Department of Business family.  We live in challenging times characterized by dynamic business and social environments.  Our Faculty provide individualized attention to assist you in preparing to face the challenges and capitalize on the opportunities that these environments offer.

If you would like further assistance or answers to questions, please feel free to contact me, Dr. Christo-Baker (christe@mountunion.edu), or any of our esteemed faculty.
