Working at Mount Union
The USAC program has a partenership with Mount and my University of Pau, and every year they select a French assistant. Last year, we were seven to compete for the French TA position! And this year, I was chosen to travel to the U.S. and work as a French TA. I chose French to English and Spanish translation thinking it would be useful, and here I am, teaching French in English. Dr. Hall and Dr. Landry are really taking the time to explain how to teach a language, and give me the possibility to do it on my own during classes. They are truly supportive of my journey here at Mount Union!
Advice to Prospective Students
Even if you're unsure of what to study, give college a try! You might like what you'll experience. For those who know what they want out of their collegiate experience, study abroad if you get the opportunity! I studied abroad in Canada, and it was the best.
