PHOENIX, Arizona — Presenting at the national conference for the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), Dr. Amber Hunt, associate professor of finance and director of the School of Business, was recognized with the International Best of Regions Excellence Award.

Hunt presented the vision and mission of the new Center for Applied Learning and Industry (CALI), set to launch on campus in September. The CALI aims to connect academic expertise with industry needs through experiential learning, consulting and community partnerships that foster student development and regional economic growth.

According to the ACBSP website, the competition starts during ACBSP's Regional Fall Conferences, where presenters are evaluated by a panel of expert judges. The competitor with the highest score in each region is named Best of Region and advances to the final stage at the ACBSP Annual Conference. Hunt’s presentation took home the top prize among the 11 regional finalists, which included a crystal trophy and a $500 cash prize.
