Mount Union Creates, Donates 1,000+ Thank-You Bags for Healthcare Employees

April 14, 2021

ALLIANCE, Ohio — In support of the efforts of frontline healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, University of Mount Union students put together more than 1,000 thank-you bags for the entire staffs of Aultman Alliance Community Hospital and Alliance City Health Department.

Members of the hospital staff picked up the bags on Wednesday, which included coupons from local McDonald’s locations and handmade gifts created by Mount Union students. Students delivered the bags to the health department earlier this week. Nest on State provided additional gifts for a portion of the bags. The initiative was led by the University’s Regula Center for Public Service.

“The Regula Center and the entire University appreciate our partnership with these healthcare providers and appreciate their dedication to our community, so it is the least we could do,” said Abby Schroeder, director of the Regula Center at Mount Union.
