Mount Union Offering $2,000 Grant for FAFSA Completion

November 30, 2023

ALLIANCE — In an effort to continue to support students who need financial assistance, the University of Mount Union is offering a grant totaling $2,000 to every student who is admitted to Mount Union and completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

First-year and transfer undergraduate students who are admitted to Mount Union in Fall 2024 or later will receive the $500 FAFSA Filer Grant upon completion of the FAFSA. The grant is renewable for up to four years, or $2,000 in total, if the FAFSA is completed each year. With 99% of Mount Union students receiving some form of financial aid, this initiative further illustrates the University’s commitment to an accessible education.

“We understand that filing the FAFSA can be a difficult process for some, but combining our FAFSA Filer Grant with the recent changes that make the application easier to navigate, we hope that this will increase access to aid for all families who need it,” said Caitlin Clark, vice president of enrollment management at Mount Union.
