“Our new robotic total station and Real-Time Kinematic GPS/GNSS system give civil engineering students the chance to learn with the advanced surveying technology that professionals use in the field today,” said Dr. Auchib Reza, assistant professor of civil engineering at Mount Union. “Instead of just reading about concepts in class, they’ll be out in the field collecting real data, measuring distances and elevations with millimeter-level accuracy, and learning how to set up and operate industry-standard equipment.”

Utilizing this technology means Mount Union students will have hands-on experience with professional equipment, which will give them an advantage when entering the workforce upon graduation.
