NAfME Recognizes Felix Moreno's '27 Passion for Music Education

WASHINGTON D.C. - Continuing his dedication toward his career, music education major Felix Moreno ’27, was awarded the Shannon Kelly Kane scholarship from the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). This recognition demonstrates the great passion Moreno has for the field.

“This scholarship will help reduce some of the financial stress that is coming with my final year in college allowing me to focus more on student teaching, professional development, performing, and becoming the best educator I can be,” said Moreno.
Moreno is looking forward to experiencing everything being a senior entails. He wants to focus on preparing to teach instrumental music in his own classroom at the middle or high school level and on traveling the world.

Advising the next class of music education students, Moreno stated that everyone’s talents develop at different paces, while their growth as professionals comes from their consistency and willingness to continue learning.
