Krizner ’26 Named 2026 Mount Union Outstanding Senior
April 21, 2026ALLIANCE — The University of Mount Union is pleased to announce that Emily Krizner ’26 has been named its 2026 Outstanding Senior.
Krizner, a biology and Spanish double major of Wickliffe, Ohio, is the senior class president and has served in additional leadership roles in Alpha Mu Gamma, American Chemical Society, Book Club and HOLA. She is also a founding member of the Friends Committee on National Legislation and has been active in numerous other organizations, such as Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, the Association of International Students, the Peace Building Society, Women in Physics, SAGE and many others.
In addition to her campus organization involvement, Krizner has served as a majorette in the Purple Raider Marching Band, served as a resident assistant and participated in both the Spring Lobby Weekend and Social Responsibility trips. Additionally, she has served as a USAC student ambassador following her time studying abroad in Spain.
Also nominated for the 2026 Outstanding Senior were Chloe Bird ’26, a media and German double major of Norton, Ohio; Fergus Deleon ’26, a biology major of Strongsville, Ohio; and Jillian Zamarelli ’26, a primary education and intervention specialist double major of Beloit, Ohio.

In selecting the Outstanding Senior, leadership, scholarship, citizenship and service to the University are taken into consideration. The entire senior class nominated their top choices and a select group of faculty and staff were asked to review the finalists and select the winners.
