    Enroll in a high-quality program with a track record of success. Our graduates consistently excel in nursing practice, with NCLEX pass rates above 94%. Nearly all of our students complete their BSN degree, and our graduates highly recommend our program. Plus, they secure nursing jobs within six months of graduation, often with offers before graduating.

Flexible BSN Degree Options

  • Traditional BSN

    The traditional BSN pathway is designed for students who completed high school.

  • Fast-track BSN (for high school graduates)

    The fast-track BSN pathway is designed for students who completed high school and have transfer credit with Advanced Placement (AP) or College Credit Plus (CCP) courses.

  • Accelerated (2nd degree) BSN (for bachelor's degree holders in other disciplines)

    The Accelerated BSN pathway (ABSN) is designed for students who have a bachelor’s degree (of any kind) in a discipline other than nursing.

Advanced Nursing Degree Options

  • MSN-FNP

    The MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner program prepares nurses for advanced nursing roles. Graduates obtain educational eligibility for national board certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP).

  • ENP Certificate

    The Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) certificate is designed for nurses who desire or are currently working in the Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting. You can complete ENP and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) coursework concurrently at UMU. Graduates are eligible to apply for the national certification exam as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.

Baccalaureate Nursing Program Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education ( http://www.ccneaccrediation.org). The program’s last site visit was November 2020. CCNE granted accreditation to the BSN program at the University of Mount Union for ten years. The next site visit will be Fall 2030.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) program at the University of Mount Union is fully approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) in accordance with Rule 4723.06 (A)(5), of the Ohio Revised Code for a period of five years effective May 25, 2022. MSN Nursing Program Accreditation

The Master of Science in Nursing and ENP Certificate program has been approved by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE); as of January 2024.
