Volunteer Opportunities

  1. Student Recruitment

    College Fairs

Do you have a few hours to promote the University of Mount Union to prospective students in your area? The Alumni Association has partnered with the Office of Enrollment Management to offer alumni the opportunity to represent Mount Union at local college fairs in various locations. As a participating volunteer, you will share your ideas, communicate knowledge, identify useful resources, and clarify educational and professional goals at the college fairs.

Admission representatives will train each volunteer in advance and equip volunteers with materials to have on hand at the fair, as well as a nametag at no cost. The Office of Alumni Engagement will also provide you with Raider gear to wear.

Refer a Student to Mount Union

Share your experience with a prospective high school student and encourage them to visit campus and visit the website for information regarding academic programs and campus life. You can also share a future student's information with Mount Union through our Refer A Prospective Student form.

  2. Brand Ambassadors

    Buzz Boxes

Promote Mount Union in your community at locations you visit on a regular basis! We’ll send you a purple box of Mount Union goodies. You get to keep a few items and pass out the others to prospective high school students. Leave items at your church, local school, restaurant, doctor or dentist office, or anywhere to spread the Mount Union name. All of the details on how the program works are included in the box. You’ll be sent an additional gift if you complete the included tasks!

    Social Media

Connect with Mount Union via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn and share our posts. This is one of the best and easiest ways you can help build visibility for the institution.

  3. Offering Shadowing and Internship Opportunities

    Mount Union Alumni LinkedIn Group

Connect with alumni and curent students professionally through our exclusive LinkedIn group.

    Talk to a Class

Are you interested in speaking with a class regarding your career field? Contact the Office of Alumni Engagement to put you in touch with the department chair to review class criteria and schedule a date and time.

    Dinner with 12 Raiders

The idea is simple. Attend a dinner with students and alumni for an evening of good food, conversation, and networking. The goal of the event is to strengthen the connection between students and alumni by sharing campus and career experiences in a casual environment. It is our hope that both groups will be able to utilize this time in getting to know each other personally, professionally, and build a relationship.
