Perks and Discounts

Alumni who update the University with current contact information receive communication and information about discounts, events, and exciting campus news.

  1. Discounts

As an alum of Mount Union, you have access to discounted rates for various sporting events and amusement parks based on the arrangements made with each location annually. Examples of past discounts include Kalahari Indoor Waterpark and Cedar Point admission packages, game tickets for Akron RubberDucks, Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and more.

    Current available discounts include:
    Cedar Point
    Cleveland Cavaliers
    Kalahari Indoor Waterpark

Do you have children or grandchildren interested in attending a Mount Union athletic camp? The Office of Alumni Engagement is offering an alumni discount. Check the athletic website for camp and registration information.

  2. Invitations to Events

The Office of Alumni Engagement hosts several events throughout the year to connect and engage alumni. Events are held both on campus and regionally and serve as an opportunity for alumni in each area to connect with one another and, in many cases, hear a campus update by a University representative. Be sure the Alumni Office has your current address to receive invitations, plus check the events page and Mount Union Matters for complete event details.

  3. Mount Union Matters

Mount Union Matters, our monthly alumni email newsletter, is sent the first Friday of each month and contains upcoming event information, news, announcements, special stories, and resources. Does the Office of Alumni Engagement have your current email address? If not, update your contact information.

  4. Mount Union Magazine

The Mount Union Magazine is a primary news source for alumni and includes news regarding campus, academics, athletics, students, alumni, current faculty, and class notes. Stories from recent issues can be found in News.

  5. Legacies

A Mount Union legacy is a descendant of a Mount Union alumnus or alumna who also attends Mount Union. This relationship includes parents and stepparents, grandparents, and step-grandparents. As a Mount Union legacy, you are part of a special tradition here at Mount Union! Children of alumni receive perks too! View additional information about legacies.

  6. Use of Career Services

The Office of Career Development offers a variety of career and job transition resources to assist alumni who are in an active job search. Many graduates don't realize that the Office of Career Development provides almost all of the same services to graduates as it does to students. So, if you didn't use the these services while you were here, it's not too late. Available services include job fair participation, resume and cover letter preparation, reciprocity services with other colleges, on-campus interviewing, and more.

  7. Library/Resources Access

The Mount Union library is open to the public. Alumni and members of the campus community are welcome to visit the library to read books and take advantage of their online databases (including resources like Ohiolink, digital subscriptions, etc.). A librarian or student worker can log you in to a computer if you need internet access.

To check out books to take home for personal use, visitors must visit the circulation desk to create a guest library card.

  8. Classroom Engagements

Interested in engaging current students in the classroom? Contact the Office of Alumni Engagement, who will then get you in touch with the appropriate department chair to review credentials and classes.
